Teairra Mari is only 17, yet fully aware of who she is
and what she's capable of doing. The native from Detroit caught
everyone's attention with her sex appeal, and aggressive lyrics. The
Detroit princess began her career at the age of 12, recording in her
cousin's basement. At 13, she caught the attention of Big Mike, Ed K,
and Helluvah of Detroit's KISS Production. Later on they felt that she
had potential to go big, and she was introduced to Def Jam Group.
Teairra Mari worked with Jay-Z, on the hit single "Make Her Feel Good"
from her new album "Princess of the Roc" "Princess of the Roc" has no
features, where usually females with her type of music will have
features like Jay-z, Ludacris, Sean Paul, etc.
The album opens up with the hit song "Make Her feel Good", "No
Daddy" is another hit, strong song, and seems like a lot of girls could
relate to this song. Some of her songs are Beyonce type, like "MVP",
and "Stay in Ya Lane". Overall the album of 45 minutes long and without
any guest verses is a pretty good debut. Seems like Teairra have more
albums come out.
