Lil Scrappy
Considered one of the pillars of crunk, Lil Scrappy was born Darryl Richards in Atlanta, Georgia. The rapper was discovered while performing at a school concert in his hometown. He as well as Trillville, his former group, was one of the first artists to sign to Lil Jon's BME Recordings. Scrappy built his rep throughout the Southeast before his national fame came in 2003. Lil Scrappy released a dual EP with Trillville entitled The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Lil Scrappy and Trillville in February 2004. He released the hit "Head Bussa", left Trillville in 2004 and dropped the single "No Problem." It reached the top 30 of the Billboard 100 and was top 10 on the r&b and rap charts. Lil Scrappy is currently working on another album entitled "Born To Die, Bred To Live."
