Lil Flip
Once his independent release Leprechaun hit the underground rap scene of Houston, Texas, Lil Flip began to see the first signs of success in the music industry. After recording the album, Lil Flip (also known as the Freestyle King) signed to Universal Records when he was 20-years-old in 2002. The rapper initially grasped the attention of DJ Screw, who helped him find his way to the Screwed Up Click. Through this affiliation, Lil Flip was able to gain respect throughout Texasand many other southern states. He released Undaground Legend in 2002. Two years later the rapper returned with the double disc, U Gotta Feel Me . The album was led by hits like "Game Over" and "Sunshine."
