Originally from Oklahoma, Aqueduct, a one-man band masterminded by David Terry, is described as smart. With a popish sound from a collection of keyboards, pianos, vocals, drum machines and a sense of humor, Aqueduct's style is cheerful and carefree. After a move to Seattle and the release of "Power Ballads," which was all composed by David Terry, Aqueduct began to gain recognition. The attention led to the band signing with Barsuk Records, home to Aveo, Death Cab for Cutie, The long Winters, Travis Morrison and many more. Aqueduct has shared the stage with the Oklahomans, The Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Mates of State, Viva Voce, and Golden Republic. The group has been compared to groups like HollAnd, Kleenex Girl Wonder, and Of Montreal. |
