Individually there is: Cassidy on lead vocals, Cathy and Kristen Henderson on guitar, Dena Tauriello on the drums and Jen Zielenbach on bass. But, together they make up Antigone Rising. Their style has been described as energetic and rebellious. And amazingly, this group toured performing at about 200 shows per year, without a record deal! With Grassroot promotions and continuous live shows, Antigone Rising sold over 20,000 CDs. That all changed in 2003 when Lava Records' president Jason Flom seen one of the band's shows and signed them. "Traveling Circus" was the group's final independent release and the group immediately began work on their debut for Java. In May 2005, "From the Ground Up" was released with the help of a Starbucks-sponsored Campaign. |
